The website won the best dedicated digital environment for a client (circulation 25,000-90,000) category at the 2011 Panpa AD Awards.
Allied Press commercial manager Matthew Holdridge said the website won a similar Panpa award in 2009, and was delighted with the company's most recent success.
"Panpa is one of the big ones in terms of awards.
"It's great for a traditional publisher like us."
The website was established in February 2008 after market research indicated advertisers were looking for a medium to reach the student market in Dunedin.
In particular, beauty salons indicated they wanted immediate and tangible results from their advertising spend. So the dedicated website was developed.
Many Dunedin businesses now advertise exclusively with the website because they are able to obtain new customers on a particular day.
The website provides discounts from local retailers which "hook up" users with "epic deals each and every day".
A record 318 entries were made in this year's 2011 AD Awards from New Zealand, Australian and Asian markets.
Mr Holdridge said he had noticed an influx of similar websites to Ltd, many of which had been launched around New Zealand in the past six to 12 months.
However, few had been successful because the costs of such a business were quite prohibitive, he said.
"Community support for Ltd means we've been the most successful business of this kind.
"We've got a loyal advertiser base that has been with us and stays with us."
