One injured in Mt Cargill crash

Emergency services staff treat a man after he was involved in a crash on Mt Cargill Rd, near Dunedin, yesterday.

The vehicle rolled several hundred metres down a hillside off Mt Cargill Rd, north of Dunedin yesterday.

Emergency services had been called to the scene in a paddock at 7.15am.

A St John spokeswoman said one vehicle was involved and one person had been injured.

The man was treated and taken by ambulance to Dunedin Hospital in a serious condition.

A person at the scene said there was mist in the area in the morning and visibility on Mt Cargill was poor.
