The 77-year-old man and 79-year-old woman who may have mistakenly drunk a chemical used for cleaning beer lines at the Waikouaiti RSA last month have been released from Dunedin Hospital.
Constable Jon-Paul Tremain, of Waikouaiti, said the pair were "recovering slowly", and only one was able to eat solids.
A 61-year-old man who also consumed some of the liquid was released from hospital last month.
The three, who are members of the Waikouaiti RSA, became ill after drinking what they thought was water from a jug, which may have been a chemical cleaner used to clean beer lines.
Police inquiries are continuing.
