Paralympians get mayor’s congratulations

Otago's athletics Paralympians met Dunedin Mayor Dave Cull at an official welcoming ceremony in the mayoral office at the Dunedin City Council yesterday.

The athletes, who arrived home from Rio on Friday night, were congratulated for their performances, which netted four medals and several personal bests.

Robinson and McSweeney said they were thankful for the support they had received since moving to Dunedin, making mention of the ''overwhelming'' homecoming on Friday night.
