Pedestrian dies after north Dunedin collision

A 77-year-old female pedestrian has died after a collision involving a car in north Dunedin, police have confirmed.

Police and St John ambulance staff were called to the incident at the intersection of Dundas St and Great King St about 6pm tonight.

Next-of-kin were being informed, police said.

The road has been closed at the intersection and diversions were in place. 

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
