A passenger was injured after being "ejected" from a car in Dunedin today.
Senior Sergeant Shona Low, of Dunedin, said a car "lost control" and hit a parked car on Corstorphine Rd, Corstorphine, just after midnight.
The parked car had no-one inside.
A passenger of the other car was injured after being "ejected" on impact and landing on the road.
The male driver of the car ran away from the crash scene but was found by police soon after.
Charges were likely to follow, she said.
The Serious Crash Unit was investigating, she said.
A St John spokesman said two people were taken by ambulance to Dunedin Hospital's emergency department.
One person sustained serious injuries and the other sustained moderate injuries.
