Ōpoho resident Caroline Orchiston (pictured) said she did not intend to grab only indoor plants, but could not resist, which was evident when she saw the plants she ended up taking home.
She said she would have bought more, but unfortunately "just did not have enough arms".
A variety of indoor and outdoor plants were for sale and the funds raised will support future developments in the Dunedin Botanic Garden.
