Plight of Gazans highlighted

About 200 people marched along George St, from the Otago Museum Reserve to the Octagon, on Saturday, in response to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

Israel’s assault on Gaza followed an attack on southern Israel in October 2023 by Hamas fighters.

Since then, millions of Gaza residents have been displaced and many thousands are starving, injured or have been killed.
