An unplanned outage has cut power to the Dunedin suburb of Belleknowes this evening.
Aurora Energy advised of the outage on its Facebook page and said a crew was on site and it was expected power would be restored by 8pm.
There was no word on how many customers were affected.
Aurora advised people to keep clear of fallen power lines or damaged electrical equipment and treat them as live at all times.
