Four different rescue helicopters landed on the roof of Dunedin Hospital within 20 minutes this afternoon, following several incidents across Otago.
An Otago Rescue Helicopter spokesman said a skier was injured on Treble Cone about 11am and a rescue helicopter from Queenstown was used to transport the patient to Dunedin Hospital.
Another skier was injured on Treble Cone in a separate incident soon after, and was also transported to Dunedin Hospital.
A third rescue helicopter was used to transfer a patient out of the Wanaka Medical Centre to Dunedin.
And the fourth rescue helicopter was used in the Three Mile Hill area, where a tramper on a City Forest track was winched into the helicopter with a broken ankle.
He said it was rare to have so many helicopters land at the hospital in such a short time frame.
The "variety of jobs" took some juggling so that each helicopter was timed to arrive after the previous one had departed from the hospital.
"Everyone made it to hospital. They were all pretty much done at the same time."
