Dunedin-based TVNZ reporter Megan Martin has decided to organise a run to ''reclaim'' the Ross Creek reserve and raise money for Victim Support after a woman was tied up and sexually assaulted there on Monday night.
Ms Martin said she jogged ''regularly'' at Ross Creek, and hoped the run would help fellow joggers to ''reclaim [the reserve] back as ours''.
She has made a Facebook page for the event - Claim the Creek - which has already attracted over 230 likes.
Runners, joggers, and walkers are asked to wear yellow and meet at 7:30pm on Thursday at the end of the John McGlashan fields on Cannington Rd for the run.
''Everyone is welcome,'' she said.
