Mrs Kinraid has had a gutsful.
A small hole was cut in a deer fence on the family's 20ha Dunedin property, and two doe and an unknown number of fawns were stolen.
Mrs Kinraid said she believed the animals were shot and then thrown over the fence before ending up in a person's freezer or sold for some quick cash before Christmas.
"These people have stolen from me. They might think it's OK but they have no idea of my circumstance."
Mrs Kinraid's husband is battling brain cancer, she has a heart condition and is now having to recover from injuries sustained in a quad-bike accident.
After being asked by police to count the number of stock taken, Mrs Kinraid was out on the bike when it rolled on Monday morning.
"I just screamed and screamed for help."
Luckily, neighbours heard her cries and contacted emergency services, resulting in the Otago Regional Rescue Helicopter being called to the property.
"I couldn't believe with 10ml of morphine in your system just how beautiful Dunedin looks from the air."
She was taken to Dunedin Hospital, where she was diagnosed with severe bruising to her legs and chest, injuries she blames directly on the rustlers.
"You do all the hard work and they take all the reward."
The family had been the victims of rustling in the past, when 300 of their 500 sheep were taken from their former Waitati property.
However, she may have the last laugh. The deer were recently drenched for worms.
"They won't be tasting too good."
