Six weeks ago Jakkii Goody, of Napier, swapped from being a stall holder to running the Great New Zealand Craft Show, which is on this weekend in Dunedin.

The face and body painter, who has her own brand of face and body paints and was the vendor manager for Rhythm and Vines, has teamed up with her partner Hayden Roberts to run the craft show, which has been an annual event in many towns and cities for the past 31 years.

''I'm passionate about New Zealand-made and New Zealand craftsmen.''

This year the event had moved to the More FM Arena at the Edgar Centre to provide a warmer, more modern venue, away from the balls which flew into the show from sports events being held at the same time in the centre during previous shows, she said.

More than 60 stalls will display everything from gourmet pet treats to smocked baby clothes.
