Traffic restrictions on Portobello Rd

Traffic restrictions will be in place on Portobello Rd from today  until the end of March while stormwater improvements, including the laying  of new pipeline across the road and into the harbour, are carried out.

The Dunedin City Council said there would be temporary traffic restrictions at times on Portobello Rd between Vauxhall and the Cove.

Wherever possible, the restrictions would be between 9am and 4pm, but in the last week of February, temporary traffic signals would operate 24 hours a day.

The road would be closed from 10pm on Thursday, February 23, until 6am the next day.  An alternative route would use Highcliff Rd.
