Emergency staff help a patient after the car in which she was a passenger crashed on to the Otago Harbour foreshore at Turnbull's Bay about 4pm yesterday.
Senior Constable Lox Kellas, of Portobello, said the woman and the male driver, both Otago Peninsula residents, were taken to Dunedin Hospital.
The driver had minor lacerations and the passenger had a suspected shoulder injury.
The cause of the crash was unknown but inquiries were continuing.
