An unlicensed teenager who flipped her car near the Oval was left with minor injuries and facing potential charges.
The driver, an unlicensed 18-year-old, drove through the intersection of South Rd and and Maitland St when she clipped the rear of a parked car outside Gilmour Motors, Sergeant Matt Lee, of Dunedin, said.
Police were called to Princes St in Dunedin Central at 11.15am after a car flipped on to its roof near the Oval, blocking traffic for about two hours.

This caused the vehicle to roll and come to rest on its roof, Sgt Lee said.
‘‘The driver suffered minor injuries and charges are pending.’’
Fire and Emergency New Zealand crews from St Kilda and Willowbank stations attended.
