Wheels in motion: school opens new bike, scooter track

Pupils of Mosgiel’s Elmgrove School were having a wheely good time on their new bike and scooter track yesterday.

Principal Christopher McKinlay said yesterday’s official opening followed two years of fundraising for the project, which also included the school buying bikes, scooters and helmets for pupils to use.

The track would be incorporated into the school’s physical education programme.

Taking a spin on the track yesterday are (from left) Kaleb Sleeman (8) and Adam Jeffery (9); Harley Richardson (8, front); and Oscar Topping (8).
