For whom the bell fails to toll

The Municipal Chambers clock bells will stay silent around the middle of the day this week to provide peace and quiet for nearby Arts Festival Dunedin events.

The bells have been silenced between noon and 2.30pm to allow for St Paul's at One, 50-minute lunchtime concerts at St Paul's Cathedral to be uninterrupted.
