An 84-year-old woman received serious injuries when she was struck by a car as she crossed a road in central Dunedin on Saturday.
Senior Sergeant Bruce Ross, of Dunedin, said the woman was crossing Rattray St, near Queens Gardens, about 10.30am when she was struck by a car turning right off Cumberland St.
The woman was taken to Dunedin Hospital with broken bones and internal injuries.
Inquiries were continuing into the crash, Snr Sgt Ross said.
