Chainsaws stolen in Invercargill ram-raid

Invercargill police are hunting the person, or people, who ram-raided an Invercargill chainsaw shop early this morning.

Sergeant Ian Martin, of Invercargill, said 17 Stihl chainsaws valued at $17,000 were stolen after a vehicle was driven through the window of Mower World on Yarrow St at 2.15am.

Police would like to hear from anyone who has been offered or bought a brand new Stihl chainsaw today.
