A Blenheim man is dead after being crushed by a tree in the Upper Awatere Valley last week.
The Marlborough Express reported Peter Cowan, 61 and an experienced logger, was working for Blacklaws Logging felling pine trees when the accident happened last Thursday.
The Department of Labour is investigating.
