A burglar took three attempts to break into Prebbleton Dairy in the early hours of Saturday morning.
But the person was only able to get away with two trays of drinks and a packet of chips.
Dairy owners Sangeet Mehta and his wife, Falguni Dave, said the person first tried to get in using a glass breaker, after which they found a stone.

After breaking the window, he was able to reach in and grab a tray of Monster energy drinks, root beer and a bag of chips.
The noise woke Sangeet and Falguni, who live behind the store. While they were in the store clearing up the broken glass, the person came back a third time.

“We were unable to sleep the rest of the night, and it's left us pretty shaken.”
Falguni was not too worried about the lost stock, but said it was frustrating to get the window repaired.
A police spokesperson said police were reviewing CCTV footage to see if the offender could be identified.
“Anyone with information which could help our inquiries is asked to contact police via 105 and quote file number 260620/9999.
