One person has been killed in a two-car head on crash in Northland this afternoon, police say.
The accident happened on State Highway 12 at Mamaranui, 20km northwest of Dargaville, about 2.15pm.
Two other people suffered serious injuries in the crash, which closed the road. Diversions were in place.
No further details were available.
