Mr Guy, 31, was found dead in the driveway of his home on Aorangi Rd, south of Feilding, on July 8.
A post-mortem confirmed he died from several gunshot wounds.
Detective Inspector Sue Schwalger today denied speculation the CCTV footage had been gathered from local businesses because Mr Guy and his wife Kylee were being followed before his death.
While police would be remiss not to consider this as part of the inquiry, there was no evidence from the footage to suggest they had been followed, she said.
"Further speculation along these will lines will be unhelpful to the investigation and cause distress to the family."
The CCTV footage had been gathered to confirm the movements of the couple in the days leading up to Mr Guy's death, Ms Schwalger said.
Police were still seeking to identify the drivers of two vehicles seen on the morning of Mr Guy's death in the Aorangi Rd area.
No detailed descriptions were available, but both were seen driving along Aorangi Rd toward Campbell Rd, away from the location of Mr Guy's home, between 4.30am and 5am.
Police wanted to speak to anyone driving down the road during that time to eliminate them from the inquiry.
They also would like to hear from anyone with information about three chocolate labrador puppies that went missing in the hours before Mr Guy's death.
On the day of his murder, Mr Guy got up early as usual to go milking and drove his ute to the end of his driveway.
He stopped and walked around to the front of the ute, and it was then that he was shot and killed, police said.
