From today, Air New Zealand has simplified its domestic fare structure and reduced fares by 10% on average to help stimulate domestic travel.
The airline said the move equated to a fall of up to 23% for lead-in Smart Saver fares across all regional routes.
While no data of response to the announcement was provided, Air New Zealand said the signs were good.
"We've received a lot of positive customer feedback over the weekend and expect the new fares to be well embraced over the coming days and weeks," the airline said today.
