Four people, including two school children, were taken by ambulance to Nelson Hospital following a collision between a school bus and a car this morning.
The accident happened on State Highway 6, between Wakefield and Brightwater, about 25km southwest of Nelson about 8am.
A St John spokeswoman said the car driver was "unwell" although with no obvious broken bones, while the bus driver and the children were being taken to hospital for a checkup.
