A funeral and celebration of the life of high profile business leader Roger Kerr will be held this afternoon in Wellington.
The service for the 66-year-old, who died peacefully last Friday after a year-long battle with metastatic melanoma, will be held at 2.30pm at Old St Paul's Church.
Mr Kerr headed right-wing public policy think tank the New Zealand Roundtable for 25 years and was once described by beer baron Sir Douglas Myers as a "national treasure.''
He was a respected leader who made a significant contribution to business, public policy and the wider economy over several decades.
Earlier this year, Mr Kerr was made Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to business.
He is survived by wife Catherine Isaac, an ACT candidate in the upcoming election, three sons from his first marriage and one grandchild, with another expected early next year.
