A Upper Hutt man taking a short cut home ended up in hospital early today.
Police said that the 27-year-old walking home along River Rd in Upper Hutt at 3am when he fell 10m down a steep bank landing on a concrete road. He was airlifted to Wellington Hospital with suspected spinal injuries. His condition was not known.
