Two men have been charged with stealing water craft and have been granted registrar's remands at the Christchurch District Court.
They were remanded on bail to appear again on March 2, Christchurch Court News website reported.
Richard William Baddock, 22, of Ohoka, north of Christchurch, and Matthew Jeffrey Fulton, 22, of the suburb of Bishopdale, have entered no pleas to charges of stealing a jet ski and trailer worth $18,000 at Lake Tekapo on January 6, and stealing a boat and trailer worth $95,000 at Christchurch last week.
It is alleged that the second boat was stolen from the owner's driveway in Riccarton on February 9.
The registrar's remand meant that the two men did not need to appear in court before a judge.
