Broadcasting Minister Craig Foss today announced the appointment of Therese Walsh to the board of Television New Zealand.
Ms Walsh was the chief operating officer for Rugby New Zealand 2011 - the company established by the New Zealand Rugby Union and the NZ Government to deliver the Rugby World Cup Tournament in 2011.
Ms Walsh also serves on the Board of New Zealand Cricket, and as chairwoman of the International Development Advisory and Selection Panel for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
She was appointed as head of NZ ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
"Her skills in project management expertise will further strengthen the TVNZ Board," said Mr Foss.
Ms Walsh will begin her three-year term on the eight-member board on this month.
