Where are they now?

 

JOEL NEILSON

2012: An accomplished guitarist of 13 years, Neilson had played alongside Dave Dobbyn and competed in the Smokefree Rockquest. He planned to study audio production or do a music degree.

 

 

 

 

2022: Neilson completed a bachelor of audio production and has his own music business, The Good Noise. An itinerant guitar teacher, he travels around schools in Cromwell and Alexandra and teaches adult students in his home studio. He also performs at various events and functions.

 

 

 

 

LAURA TATUPU (NEE WINSTANLEY)

2012: A member of the Cromwell women’s rugby team, Winstanley was also the lead vocalist for a student band and had taught English on a church trip to Thailand. She planned to volunteer in Tanzania.

 

 

 

 

2022: Tatupu lives in Melbourne, where she works in finance and administration for an intensive care nursing company. She has a diploma in ministry and continues to be involved in church activities.
