Otago we need your help! A local Dunedin woman, Amanda Young, who volunteers as the coach of the Otago Special Olympics Powerlifting has the chance to win a $10000 team experience for her athletes.
Amanda was nominated for a Lotto Sportmaker Award by Kate Hall whose son, Lucas, is in the team. Amanda was one of 10 recipients of the award chosen from over 1400 entries.
Amanda now has the chance to win the major prize which is decided by public vote. As the team only has 8 members, their networks are not as large as other teams. Their biggest rivals, from Lower Hutt, are a volleyball team made up of teenagers who will have a lot of traction on social media and at their high school to garner votes. It would be amazing for the Otago Special Olympics Powerlifting team, and for Dunedin, if this special team could bring it home.
Please vote for Amanda Young at www.goodonyou.co.nz You can vote once every 24 hours up till, and including, Thursday, 13th October. Let's bring it home for Dunedin for a very deserving coach and team!
