An injured person has been taken to Palmerston North Hospital after their car crashed off the road and into the river in the Manawatu Gorge.
Police said the crash happened this afternoon and was causing delays in both directions on the road between Ashhurst and Woodville.
Drivers were being advised to delay travel through the gorge or take an alternate route.
