Knox Church minister the Rev Dr Kerry Enright and Melissa Lama protest the United States Government’s immigration policies during a vigil in the church grounds on Saturday.

Organised by the group Dunedin for United Whanau, it  attracted a small but vocal crowd.

They were protesting the US Government’s policy of separating families who crossed the country’s border illegally, while seeking asylum.

Speakers included Dunedin South MP Clare Curran, Dunedin city councillor Aaron  Hawkins and National Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies founding director Prof Kevin Clements.
