James Thomas Peddie and Abby Lee Peddie (nee Pyle)
Ages: 30 and 26
Occupations: Farmer and Zee Zee Merino Consultant & Mum

When and where did you meet?:
Jimmy and I have known of each other since we were very young, first meeting at the Hyde Playgroup which was run by Jimmy's Aunty Leslie Peddie! He remembers me skating at the Naseby ice rink when i was 3... But my first memory is of him at the local district school athletics days the tall blonde boy who could run! And we met up again in Tekapo at our friends engagement party in 2005 and the rest history!

The proposal:
It was the morning of the 17th of May, a Thursday, quite early as our 2 year Isla came in for morning cuddles, and Evie just 2 months old was already with us and Jimmy said to Isla, "should we make mummy a Peddie Isly".. She said "NO".. Being her favorite word at the time being 2! But I was able to convince her it was a good thing so she said yes! And so did I!

Where was the wedding?:
31st of January 2014 at Lauderdale Estate, Central Otago.

Why did you choose the venue?:
My family 'the Pyles' were first settlers in the town of St Bathans so its very close to my heart and ideally we wanted to have the wedding there, after searching sites for a markee we came across Lauderdale only 15 min from St Bathans and in sight of the beautiful Hawkdun Ranges! It was Idyllic and I never looked anywhere else, perfection right there!

The dress:
My dress was a complete steal, I new it was it as soon as I popped it on.. Size 16 and all! It was one of the last dresses on the rack from Dal Vivo in Dunedin which has closed down! With help from Joy at Je Taime and my clever mum Julie Pyle we had a winner!

The bridesmaid's dress:
The maids dresses were the hardest part for me, trying to fit everyone's body types and personality.. So I just went for what I liked, bought the fabric and took my design to Joy at Je Taime in Dunedin and she whipped them up! They were such a gorgeous colour, my maids looked stunning!

The flowers:
My flowers were beautifully done by the amazingly talented Ruby O'Neill who has since opened Ruby Tuesday in Alexandra! The bouquets, button holes and table, aisle arrangements were made up from cream and coral Lizianthus, babys breathe, roses, freesias, pink hypericum berry, lavender and eucalyptus leaf..The flowers were to die for, I was over the moon at how perfect they were!

The caterers:
Catering was done by Wanaka Caterers and the meal was lovely, being farmers we were able to supply our own meat!

The photographer and favourite photo:
Mischa Clouston was our photographer, and we couldn't of been happier of how she captured our day! I have so many fav photos but my most loved is our group photo at the end of the ceremony.. Having everyone we love be there to share our moment is something well never forget. It was the perfect day!

Highlight of the day:
A highlight of the day, one we remember so clearly was walking back down the aisle with our Minnie's and Isla stops, turns to us and asks 'does this make mummy a Peddie like us now?' and we looked at each other and say 'it sure does'! She runs off yelling mummy's a Peddie, mummy's a Peddie!!
