There was no word yesterday on a public interest group's intention to appeal a High Court order it pay nearly $50,000 in costs incurred in its legal challenge against a planned wind farm at Mahinerangi.
The Upland Landscape Protection Society had been expected to confirm yesterday it would appeal that decision but society representatives did not return calls.
It is understood the society is keen to challenge the court's order it pay costs totalling $49,788.13 to five parties.
Members were due to meet legal counsel yesterday to decide the society's next move.
The court ordered the costs after a failed appeal against the TrustPower development near the Clutha-Dunedin boundary.
