The cutoff date for the public to respond to the Wanaka Sports Facility questionnaire has been extended for at least another week, Queenstown Lakes District Council project manager Ken Gousmett said.
Consultation with potential user groups and the public has been under way in Wanaka, to help determine the right mix of facilities at the planned sports hub, which has been designated a "greenfields" site in Willowridge Development Ltd's Three Parks subdivision. The consultation included a questionnaire which was scheduled to close off yesterday, but that deadline has been extended until early next week.
The council wanted to give as many people as possible the chance to have their input into the proposed facility's concept design, Mr Gousmett said.
Council representatives will be outside Wanaka New World tomorrow distributing and collecting questionnaires.
The questionnaire can be filled at www.qldc.govt.nz or at the council office on Ardmore St, or the Wanaka Library.
