Korean post for reporter

Otago Daily Times Central Otago reporter Sarah Marquet is the first recipient of an Asia New Zealand Foundation internship in South Korea.

Miss Marquet (26), of Clyde, will receive a $5000 grant to work in South Korea for six weeks, starting in May. She will be working at the Korea JoonAng Daily English language newspaper in Seoul, and also filing stories for the ODT.

''I'm excited about the opportunity and very grateful to the foundation for its assistance,'' she said.

''This is going to challenge me both professionally and personally, which can only be a good thing. Any story ideas or travel tips would be greatly appreciated.''

The foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to building New Zealanders' knowledge and understanding of Asia.
