One person has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after a car rolled near Alexandra this afternoon.

A reporter at the scene said police, three fire appliances and a St John ambulance attended the scene of the crash on SH8 near the intersection with Airport Rd.

At least one person was trapped after the crash but was conscious and talking, the spokeswoman said.
