Police were alerted to break in at the Spark Store in Oamaru on Thames St at about 3.15am this morning.
Sergeant Stu Dowling, of Oamaru, said three perpetrators smashed the glass store front before entering and taking electronic devices estimated to be worth more than $5000.
The vehicle they used was also reported stolen from Gore yesterday, he said.
Broken glass was littered all over the footpath outside the store as police attended the scene this morning.
Inquiries were ongoing after reviewing CCTV and speaking with nearby witnesses, Sgt Dowling said.
