Alcohol-related incidents and a raft of others were dealt with by Oamaru police at the weekend.
A police spokeswoman said two people were arrested and charged with drink-driving in Oamaru and Palmerston.
A 62-year-old Oamaru woman recorded a breath-alcohol level of 900mcg and had her licence suspended for 28 days; she is due to appear in the Oamaru District Court on July 21.
A 65-year-old Palmerston man recorded a breath-alcohol level of 499mcg and is due to appear in court on August 11.
Police also arrested a 43-year-old Oamaru woman for driving while forbidden at 11.30pm on Friday. Her vehicle was impounded and she is due in court on July 21.
On Saturday morning, a 24-year-old man was assaulted at Sports Central Brewhouse in Wear St; a 49-year-old man was arrested in relation to that and is due in court on an assault charge on July 21.
After several complaints about a house party in Caledonian Rd, two men, aged 21 and 19, were arrested at 1am on Sunday.
They had been warned multiple times for yelling and disorderly behaviour, the spokeswoman said.
They were ‘‘held for detox’’ and released with a formal warning.
