Sun shines on Family Fun Day

It may be March, but you would be forgiven for thinking summer was in full swing in Oamaru over the weekend.

More than 1000 enjoyed the sun during the Friendly Bay Family Fun Day on Saturday.

Children enjoyed bouncy castles, games and events run by organisations such as the Oamaru Blue Penguin Colony and Waitaki Multicultural .

There were also kayaks available to try and the North Otago Yacht and Power Boat Club was offering free rides in its RIB.

Live music was played throughout the day and food vendors, including a snow cone stall, kept everything well fed and hydrated.
