Two minor crashes in North Otago at the weekend marred an otherwise quiet weekend for Oamaru police.
On Saturday morning, a van crashed on State Highway 1 just north of Hampden, causing short delays to traffic.
A German tourist was taken to Oamaru Hospital with a fracture.
That afternoon, a car being driven north by a Christchurch man left SH1 at Hilderthorpe after the man fell asleep.
He received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
