Woman seriously injured in quad bike accident

A 22-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after her quad bike rolled at a rural property north of Oamaru yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were alerted to the scene on Steward Rd at Hilderthorpe about 2pm.

The woman was airlifted to Dunedin Hospital after being assessed by St John Ambulance staff at the scene.

Police also attended, but were stood down shortly after arriving.
