Highlanders players and management were in Wanaka with their families for a training camp this week, ahead of their pre-season game at the Queenstown Recreation Ground tonight.

Training sessions were balanced with a series of leisure activities, including barbecues, visits to Puzzling World and Have a Shot, a winery tour for the women, and an afternoon of watersports at Eely Point. Head coach Jamie Joseph encourages a focus on family at player training camps to build a better team environment and improve performance on the field. Lucy Ibbotson was there with her camera.
