Just 300 prime tickets for the eagerly awaited Flight of the Conchords concert in Queenstown will go on sale on a first-come, first-served basis today at 8am.
The tickets cost $79 plus a booking fee and are limited to two per transaction in person at the box office at the Queenstown Events Centre.
Internet and telephone sales will be available from noon and tickets cost between $55 and $79 plus a booking fee.
The duo and backing band perform on Sunday, June 24.
Lakes Leisure events and venues manager Jason Marrable said 1688 tickets for the seated Queenstown show were originally available. Pre-sales of between 300 and 400 tickets on Tuesday sold out in five minutes, he said.
"We advise fans to get here bright and early. All the phones have been going crazy with people asking how can they get tickets."
Wellingtonians Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie's tour of New Zealand will be their first in three years.
Tour organisers said this week they wanted to get tickets into people's hands at face value.
Co-promoter Stuart Clumpas said there had been "a great deal of concern over ticket scalping in recent weeks and so it's back to the future where you personally queue up at the box office".
