Midwinter Christmas wonderland

Starting tomorrow, for the third year running, Queenstown hospo precinct Ayrburn is again providing locals and visitors with a taste of midwinter Christmas over the next month.

Free to visit, “Winter Wonderland” features thousands of Christmas lights and decorations along with outdoor fires.

An ice rink is again popping up on The Dell — for hour-long skates between 11am and 8pm, it is $35 for 13-and-overs, $25 for 12-and-unders and $95 for a family pass (two adults, two children), with skates and helmets included.

The precinct’s various venues are also putting on treats such as mulled wine, hot chocolate, wine tastings and whisky flights.

The Manure Room is hosting happy hours daily from 4pm to 6pm, and live DJs every Friday and Saturday between 4pm and 7pm.
