An original and improvised blend of Celtic, Latin, jazz and Gypsy rhythms are the hallmarks of Beyondsemble musicians (from left) Craig Denham (accordion, piano, whistles and vocals), John Ellis (bass clarinet, saxophones and vocals), Darryn Sigley (percussion) and Jon Sanders (guitar, bouzouki, ukulele and vocals).
Beyondsemble has toured the country every year since its inception in 2009.
Performing as the official pre-show band at for the Wearable Arts Awards in Wellington in 2010, Beyondsemble launched its debut album to excellent reviews in 2011 and won the People's Choice competition to perform at the 2013 Womad NZ festival, launching its second album there.
Its members have often performed in Europe and the whole band will embark on a three-month European tour in 2014.
