New works by a trio of Auckland artists will debut in Milford Galleries Queenstown on Saturday.

Andy Leleisi'uao is showing six acrylics on canvas, Peata Larkin six acrylics on mesh and Reuben Paterson four glitter on canvases or paper.

Gallery manager Maurice Watson said it was the first major display Leleisi'uao's work in the resort, and his art was "a celebration".

"They're really uplifting works and he is a very distinctive voice emerging in New Zealand art, with a string of notable residences and scholarships."

• The show is open at the Church Lane gallery until October 19.
