8pm: The String Contingent, a Scottish and Australian trio, play original Celtic, bluegrass and classically influenced music.
Double bass player Holly Downes, guitarist Graham McLeod and violinist Chris Stone perform at the Thomas Brown Gallery, Speargrass Flat Rd, near Arrowtown.

10pm: Queenstown DJs Keen and Eager deliver funk, breaks and electro at Subculture.

9pm: Melbourne reggae hip-hop duo Direct Influence play Revolver on their transtasman War in My Kitchen debut album tour throughout April and May.

8.30pm: Summer in Berlin, an M-rated 2005 English subtitled drama, which charts a female friendship during a sweltering, turbulent summer in the German capital, is presented to Queenstown Film Society members at Dorothy Brown's Cinema and Bar, in Arrowtown.
Members can sign up on the night.
Membership costs $105 for the year, or a $30 ticket can be bought to watch any three films.
